November 2007: The Rim Golf Club ranked as #9 residential golf course community in the nation by Golfweek Magazine

The Rim Golf Club, Arizona’s premier, private golf community, has been named one of America’s Best Residential Golf Courses by Golfweek Magazine. The 555-acre property is 9th on Golfweek’s prestigious national ranking.

Golfweek’s ranking is a result of ballots submitted by their national team of 450 course raters. The list represents the best of golf in a mixed-used setting. This year, one of the main focuses was lifestyle options and the amenities offered by each community. At The Rim, these included the 29,000 square-foot clubhouse, which is surrounded by 10,000 square-feet of outdoor patio space. Also taken into consideration was the newest addition to The Rim, The Athletic Spa, which is set to open in the next couple months.

The Rim has long been on Golfweek’s list of the best courses, including being ranked in their Best Modern Courses and Best U.S. Real Estate Courses. Other honors include being ranked in the top 40 residential golf communities in the United States by Golf & Travel and being one of the top 10 communities for golf course living by Mountain Living.

The Rim opened in the summer of 1999 and is the last design collaboration of Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish. Featuring magnificent mountain vistas, enormous rock formations and a decidedly memorable risk/reward routing, the 7,075-yard par-72 layout offers an ideally moderate climate and is open year-round.
